Nissan Repair: 1990 Terrano Speedo Buzzer, nissan terrano, buzzer

I have a 1990 Nissan Terrano from Japan.  The problem is everytime I go over 100 km/h there's this annoying beep.  One of the highways I often drive on has a speed limit of 110 km/h so you can imagine the annoyance of the beeping.  Do you know how I could disconnect the buzzer?

Leave it to Nissan to put something like the buzzer in the dash that runs you nuts.  But, you cannot disconnect it since it will throw a code on the computer.  Now, you can do what I have done.  Get under the dash and find the thing.  I have not done your year model.  But, from memory it is under the driver's side.  Take the unit apart and cut the wire to the buzzer and the computer will never know.  Then reinstall it and you are done with the pain of the buzzer.
