Nissan Repair: 2001 QUEST, dash lights, steering wheel

Question
sometimes when I try to start the vehicle, it won't start, no dash lights, dome light etc.  I had to shake the steering wheel and giggle the key, then the dash lights came on and could turn the key and it would start.  Last night, I parked on a slight incline.  It wouldn't start, giggle steering wheel, shift lever-nothing. got of of the car to get my briefcase,  couldn't use my key fob to open back door.  Again no interior lights.  Had to use my key, reach inside to the driver side sliding door and open it manually.  When I opened the door and slammed it shut, the dome lights came on.  I was then able to insert the key in the ignition and start the car.  What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Answer
C.

Check the electrical connection to the ignition column as well as the connection at the battery.  This one is going to be a pain since it is intermittent and you will have to track it down as it is happening.  I have seen a ground from the column cause this problem before and that one screws to the door jamb on the drivers side.  Email me back cause you are going to have to diagnose as it happens.
