Nissan Repair: 2000 nissan altima, mass airflow sensor, nissan altima

Question
thanks again,
well von I'm still having problems with my nissan.
The car service light is on, after numerous scans and repairs. The idle is erratic after warm up. had to increase the idle to keep it going. runs fine at all other speeds.

The scans read that the 4th cycl. is not firing.

I have replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, idle air valve and even the dist. no luck yet. the car has 68,000 original miles, and would like to keep it a while.

Answer
Ruben,

Your car could have a bad mass airflow sensor.  Other than that you might do a compression check on cylinder four to see what is going on with that cylinder specifically.  Altima and Sentra both had problems with the mass airflow sensor and they would never trip a code for the sensor.  The only thing that would trip is a specific cylinder or a multiple cylinder misfire.  I am just saying check the compression on cylinder four before you plunk down the cash for a mass airflow sensor.
