Nissan Repair: 92 pathfinder No Spark, distributor cap, cranks

Question
my pathfinder suddenly wont start, cranks but wont fire, no spark when i tested it, distributor turns and all wiring looks to be alright

Answer
Justin,

Check to see if you have 12 volts to the coil.  If there is no voltage at the coil then check the wiring and fuses for the ignition circuit.  Also, the ignition module could be blown.  But, I would check for voltage at the coil first.  These are the two most common causes.  If both are good then take the distributor cap, rotor, rotor post and cover and check to see if the distributor is contaminated with oil on the optical shutter wheel and optics.
