Nissan Repair: 93 Nissan, nissan altima gxe, nissan altima

I have a 93 Nissan Altima GXE 5 sp.  I am having difficulty getting it into 1st and 2nd gear.  The remaining gears are very smooth.  If I wiggle and jiggle, I can get 1st and 2nd.  Can this be repaired or am I going to have to replace the transmission?

If it was hard to get into every gear then we would have a hydraulics issue or even a very worn clutch. We rebuild standard shift transmissions here at my shop. Maybe you can find some one near you that can also. Much less expensive then replacing. But, yes, you have an internal transmission problem. First and second gear's synchromesh are shot.
