Nissan Repair: car suddenly stopped, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
I have a Nissan Altima 1993 GXE that while I am driving had started to lose power when I was driving in a highway at a about 40 miles/hour. The car stopped in the middle of the highway and I could not start it. The engine refused to work and I was stranded. About an hour later, the car started again smoothly and then I drove it for about 10 minutes and then I parked it in my drive way and then the car died suddenly Aden I could not start it again. This problem happened about 2 weeks ago and I took it to the garage and it stayed in the garage for two days and the problem was stated as electrical by the mechanic. The mechanic fixed it and I do not know why this happened again, please help me about the problems that might be going on in my car.
Thanks

Answer
Khalid,

Have the fuel pump and fuel pump relay inspected.  have the mechanic hook up a fuel pressure gague to the car and have him drive it until it dies.  If the pressure drops off then he will know that the fuel pump or fuel pump relay has gone out.  That would be my thought on the subject since you did not say a check engine light came on.  Also, there is a remote possibility that the mass air flow sensor could be going out.  But that is remote since your car is not one of the Altimas that had that problem.  Email me back with what he finds.
