Nissan Repair: Spark, crank angle sensor, nissan altima

I just bought a 96 Nissan altima  and it is not getting any spark, i took out, the buy I bought it from put in a new Distributor and plugs, is there a sensor that may cause it not to fire.

it,s getting a lot  of gas.

The crank angle sensor could be defective.  Also, check the fuse links at the positive battery cable and make sure the one feeding the ignition circuit is good.  Also, check the fuses for one that feeds the ignition.  You can check to see if you are getting current to the coil by getting a test light and having someone turn the key to run and to start while you tough the point to the positive side of the coil and connect the ground clip to the engine block.  If you get fire to the coil then it is a problem within the distributor.  If the distributor is new you should remove the cap and inspect it for proper installation.
