Nissan Repair: VSS Malfuncation P0500, loose wire, j30

My 96 J30 is giving P0500 (VSS Malfuncation) code. I got the VSS changed. Everyting went well for 2 weeks and again the check light came on with P0500. Speedo is accurate and it works fine (this was the case before i got VSS changed). Speedometer to ECU connection is good as well. I am not able to diagnose the problem. Please help.

If you changed the VSS and everything is working fine and you are now getting the P0500 code again you probably have a loose wire at the cluster.  That is, this is where the computer gets the speed from.  Take the cluster out and clean the terminals and reinstall and the problem should go away.
