Nissan Repair: losing coolant, blown head gasket, nissan exterra

Question
01 Nissan exterra losing coolant, runs fine ,not over heating    do not know where it going,no sign of any on the ground. thanks darryl

Answer
John,

If you are losing coolant and it is not on the ground the engine has an internal leak like a blown head gasket or the heater core is leaking in the truck and running out on the ground when you are driving.  This must be a slow leak since you are not over heating.  You could have a shop do a co gas check on the radiator to see if there is exhaust present in the coolant.  If there is you know a head gasket is leaking or there is a crack in the head or the block.  Usually it is a head gasket.
