Nissan Repair: pulsar headlight, daytime running light, headlight switch

Question
Hi,I have a 1987 pulsar 1.6,i notice that only the daytime running light is operating on the l.s,when i put the hi beam switch forward nothing changesbut if i pull the hi beam switch toward me ,,both hi beams work.
I cannot get the headlight to operate though [only on the hi beam as stated]
I have checked the fuse for l.s and r.s both seem good
I have tried different headlights as well

Thank you in advance for any help

Answer
Rick,

Replace the headlight switch.  Nissan uses contacts in the switch that wear out.  Easy replacement and under $100 bucks.  Only takes a phillips screwdriver.  Remove the column cover and the switch and unplug the old one and replace with the new one.
