Nissan Repair: 1994 Infiniti Headlight, beam light, high beam

Similar to 11/2 question from Nan.  After I turn on headlights, the high beam indicator sometimes lights up on the dash (without switching it on).  I note that only the right high beam is on.  If I flash it, both the right running and high beam light go out, sometimes it goes back to normal low beam.  Is trouble in light, switch or wiring?  Any diagnostic suggestions?  Thanks.

I ended up figuring that it's in the switch. There may be a short in the column which would really be a drag. If it was shorting in the harness, it would act up all the time, not just when you hit the switch, so that was my conclusion. Hope this helps...
