Nissan Repair: Check Engine Light and loss of power, autozone, fuel pump

Question
My check engine light just came on this past week and I haven't had a chance to take it in.  I have noticed that in the mornings when the car is still cold that when I hit the gas I do not get the response that I normally do.  Also this morning when going up a hill (big one) I hit the gas and had it to the floor but I couldn't get any acceleration.  I'm not sure if this is a sensor or maybe a fuel pump?  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Andrew,

You need to get more information on what is going on with your car.  Go to Autozone or Checker and they will check the codes for free.  Get the codes and e-mail me back.  It could be fuel or electrical.  But, since the check engine light is on there is a sensor that is defective or reading something out of range.
