Nissan Repair: electrical problems, law enforcement job, nissan pickup

nothing..... could it be the computer, both fusible links comming off of the battery are 10-4 or does it have fusible links attached to the alternator and starter.

i accidently touched the positive to the negitive and smoke came from my positive terminal, i have headlights but no tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, heat or ac, dashlights, interior lights, hazard lights. please help. im a broke cop i need a cheap way out oh by the way it is a 94 nissan pickup 4x4 ext cab

Well, as an ex deputy myself (looking for law enforcement job) check the fusible links both in the starter and alternator area. Alternator first.

Sorry for the delay-
The fusible links are in the wire leading to the alternator,looks like a small cylindrical shaped rubber molded into the wire. Also check the smaller wire for the same thing going to the starter for power on both sides of the links.
