How you doing?  I m looking for the location of my starter in my 2000 Nissan Maxima SE V6?  I just hit 92k miles and the starter went out.  I bought a new one from Kragen and will be replacing it on my own.  The location and suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

The starter can be accessed from the top.  Remove the air box and intake tube and the starter is below and on top of the transmission.  The harness connector has to be moved to get the starter out.  Just pull the connector up and there are two bolts that hold the starter on.  Be sure to disconnect the battery first.
