Nissan Repair: replace timing chain, nissan truck, firing order

1994 nissan truck 12valve 2.4  i replace timing chain it got a bright link on chain to match mark on gear done that put together and try to crank it try but no start book said firing order 1234 but want run i made the firing order 1243 it will crank and idel but when give gas it pop rattle like maybe rod noise but number 3 piston seem not have as much compression on it as the other 124 is please help what the correct firing order are what could be the problem it costing a lot of $$$

Answer
The problem still lies with your timing chain.
The bright link on your chain is not the correct way to set the timing gears.
You have to match the timing gears with a predetermined mark on the head. And match the lower gear to the "O" mark on the crankshaft.
