Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan Sentra Engine Trouble, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
I have a 95 Nissan Sentra 1.6L that the engine abrubtly stopped. I was able to get it running again however, when cold the car will run for about 2 min. no problem then it idles rough as though it's losing fuel supply. I checked the fuel pump it's okay. Replaced the fuel filter, throttle position sensor and the mass air flow sensor, plugs, distributor cap, rotor cap. The car now will idle only when I unplug the mass air flow sensor. Can you help...

Answer
If it is an electrical problem, your check engine light should be on. If it is, what are the code read outs from a scan tool?
o.k., realizing not everyone has access to a scan tool, was it raining when it died?
Did you hit a bumpy road when it died?
Did you operate anything electrical (ie after market radio)in the car when it died?
have you checked to see if the timing may have jumped a tooth or two?
Does your car have a sensor near the harmonic balancer?
These are the few things I would start to check second.
First, when you unplug your mass air flow sensor, does the car run better at all rpms or just at idle
