Question -
I have a 97 Pathfinder that has 125000 miles on it.  Recently I have noticed that when I am driving on the highway my car wobbles/rocks side to side.  I have no idea what this is.  I took my car in for an alignment and tire rotation recently, but the problem hasn't stopped.  Any ideas what this may be from?

Go Sox!

Answer -
Well, I think the Sox have went, but I love 'em anyway... It sounds to me like a tire has seperated on you. This will cause a bubble and balancing obviously won't fix it. Makes like a bent rim mostly noticable at low speeds.

Addition question:
Thank you for responding.....What does that mean about the tire and it is something that can be fixed or would I need to replace the tire?  And is there anyway I can check the tired.  Also one last (major thing) I am concerned about...how dangerous is it for me to drive my car?

Answer
Oh, sorry Nikki,

Yes, you must replace the tire. Take it to where you like to get tires (Sears my choice) and they will inspect and find the faulty tire. This can be dangerous, not to scare you, due to heat building up on the tire and causing a blow out.
