Nissan Repair: 95 maxima MIL, engine coolant temperature, knock sensor

still that 110k 95 maxima. the air filter is clean and the oil filter was replaced 4 month ago. The final idel speed is 700rpm but the two cables are loose now.
The knock sensor was replaced by some special tool thus they did not remove the top part of engine.not sure the contact is good or not. only one wire from the sensor.
the MIL on again and scan result still the knock sensor. more. the P0115 code said the engine coolant temperature circuit has malfuntion. the temp. scale looks normal.

You may consider taking it to a different shop. I, in 26 years (+/-) of auto repair, have never heard of a "special" tool to replace the knock sensor and there should be two wires and some have three. Interesting that the temp sensor is in the same harness... I would check to see if they pulled the harness and disconnected the temp sensor with their special tool. And why are the cables loose? One should be to the pedal, the other should be cruise control.
