Nissan Repair: trouble code 1320 nissan altima, crank angle sensor, nissan altima

Question
i have a nissan altima 1996 gxe my car has the trouble code P1320 Ignition Control (IC) Module 4x Reference Circuit Intermittent No Pulses what does this mean what do i need to replace or fix can you help

Answer
James,

I would replace the crank angle sensor first.  If this does not do the truck replace the ignition control module.  The crank angle sensor will test ok even though it is defective since it is an intermittent problem.  So, if you replace the module you might buy the part for nothing.  Also, remember that the crank angle sensor is ten years old so it would not be a bad idea to replace it anyway.
