Nissan Repair: 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R Idels rough after washing engine, nissan sentra, air meter

I washed my engine compartment in my nissan sentra SE-r. The check engine light was already on and ran fine before i washed it. I didnt overly wet electrical components. After washing the car was hard to start and keep running, I checked for water in the intake and in the dist. cap. Nothing. Its been two days and its still bogging out at high rpm and esp. in 5th gear. Throttel response is lagging now too. Im at a loss.

Check the codes.  I bet the air meter is shorted out.  I have had this happen to me in the past by washing the engine.  Check the codes and that is what will probably come up.  Remember that you can get the codes checked for free at Autozone or Checker.
