Nissan Repair: 93 sentra SER, neutral safety switch, manual lever

Question
Help - my 93 sentra SER starts only when it wants to.  When it does not start it does nothing, no clicking, no cranking issues, etc. when it starts it fires right up.  It was suggested the neutral safety switch is bad, but i do not know where that is, can anyone help me

Answer
To test the MLPS (Manual Lever Position Sensor or Neutral Safety switch to some) run the selector slowly through the gears. If it trys to start then it's out of adjustment. Usually, a bad MLPS will still start in neutral. If it's out of adjustment then it will start in like between gears. I think it's not this though. I think you have a bad starter, personally.
