Thinking of disconnecting catalatic converter. Somebody told me sometime its chocked. Need advise.  I went through most of your answers. Still confuse what else to do. Thanks

Answer
Anil,

The converter could be the problem is it is melted internally.  This will plug things up and after a couple of kilometers the car will stall.  Now, something had to cause it to overheat and melt and that would be an over rich condition like the distributor that you replaced.  So, you have probably corrected the problem so a new converter will not be damaged.  Just make sure that the engine is in good tune and you should be fine with a replacement converter.
