I suspect my slternator is out on my 1995 nissan 240 sx.  The oil, brake and engine lights are all on, the ac doesn't work, and when i last drove it, the lights kept getting dimmer and dimmer and the engine bogged down, until i turned the lights off, then the engine reved up again.

Is it possible to have the alternator re-built?
How complicated would it be for me to do myself?

If you can get a kit you can rebuild it.  Not complicated at all.  Follow the directions with the kit or just get a rebuild alternator.  But, do get the battery fully charged when you put the alternator back in.  Want a fully charged battery as not to blow the new alternator.
