Nissan Repair: rough idle service light on, air meter, auto zone

Question
Thanks von, Here it go's. Rough idle and service light on,scan at zone and o sensor bad (front), replaced and light stayed on, reset and replaced sensor again. service light on and 4th spark plug not firing. replaced cap, rotor, wires, plugs, still have bad idle and s/L on..Per answer from previous question, the coil was acting up,so replaced dist. Auto zone sold me a dist. stated that coil is with-in. No luck, it actually got worst. The dist. was dirty and old, so I returned it and full refund honored.

Throttle body cleaned ohms increase when pedal is depressed, injectors test good 10 ohms can hear the injectors working as idle is increased,no vac. leaks, idle sensor good will drop idle if disconnected and ohms good, fast idle good, o sensor good, gas is good.New air cleaner.

Nissan 2000 altima 2.4 auto.
where is my pvc located, or does it not have one?
maybe clean my idle air and check for carbon?
Was not satisfied with auto zone dist. should I get another proven one and replace. Timing is good.

ecm diagnostic ran and 6 slow flashes and 5 fast one's. ECM bad?

desperate at this time, will stand-by for your reply.

thank you well in advance.

Answer
Ruben,

It does not sound like the ecm.  This is going to sound crazy.  But, the Altima has an interesting problem with the air meter.  You get screwed up codes like the o2 sensor and the air meter is problem.  I have seen three like this.  On number four you need to figure out if the plug is defective or if it is the ignition circuit.  So, change the plug to another hole and see if it follows the plug to the other hole.  If it does you know it is the plug.  If not, look at the wire, cap and then the distributor.  I cannot see the distributor only firing on three unless there is internal damage to the distributor.  But, if there is oil on the optics you could have the problem.  But, it is only a 2000 so the probability is remote.
