Nissan Repair: Quest overheating, drive belts, nissan quest

Question
I have a 2000 Nissan Quest, recently replaced waterpump, timing belt, thermostat and drive belts.  Since then there seems to be a new "normal" for the temp of the car, but to me its running too hot.  Fan works, but in the morning when I do not run the air the needle will slowly increase to the top of normal. Turning on the heat lowers it back to the middle.  Later in the day when its hotter I will run the air and have no problems with it increasing.  Mechanic says they cannot find any reason or cause and don't think the car is overheating. (checked the head and it was fine) What is causing the temp to run so much hotter - there was an air pocket initially after and thought I cleared that problem by bleeding the system.

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

You did all that yourself? Impressive! Check the thermostat to the fan. There are two fans. They both will come on when you run the A/C and this is all the time the A/C is on. Only one runs with the A/C off and it is thermostatically controlled. Very commonly replaced part. If you need more on this, let me know! Happy motoring!
