Nissan Repair: Overheating, blown head gaskets, electronic thermostat

Question
I just installed a new radiator i put a new thermostat and i put some fluid in the car to help seal any cracked or blown head gaskets. But the car does'nt overheat when i drive just when i stop at a light or stop sign.

Answer
Hi Henry,

"A" Stop leak and the kind will clog radiators and cause vehicles to overheat due to restricted flow at low RPMs. With that in mind, check to see if the fan is coming on.

"B" The fan on your car is thermostatically controlled. If it is not coming on, check for bad fuses and/or place the electronic thermostat that controls the fan. There are actually 2 fans. One is turned on automatically and runs the entire time you have your A/C on. So turn off the A/C and let the car reach operating tempeture. If the fan kicks on and seems to work properly, see "A" at the top.
