Nissan Repair: electrical, nissan maxima, connector pins

Question
I HAVE A 1990 NISSAN MAXIMA AND WHEN TURN LIGHT SWITCH ON ONLY THE HEADLIGHTS COME ON.WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL LIGHTS COME ON EVEN DASH LIGHTS.THE TURN SWITCH SIGNAL WAS REPLACED NOW NOTHING COMES ON BUT HEADLIGHTS.WHEN I PRESS BRAKE PEDAL NOTHING COMES ON,BUT HEADLIGHTS STILL REMAIN ON.

Answer
Tonya,

I would check the switch that was replaced as this is where all the wires come together.  Was it a new switch or did the connector pins get bent while it was installed?  The brake and turn indicators go through the same circuit so that would not have anything to do with the headlights.  But, if the brake lights do not work I would be looking at the switch above the pedal.  Check out the connector on the blinker and let me know what you find.
