Nissan Repair: 95 Maxima wont Start, powre, 12 volt

I have a 95 Maxima and was haing problems with it starting.  I was told it was the starter so I replaced it.  It started once then it hasn't started since.  I won't crank or anything its as if there is no powre, bu all the power equipment works and the battery has tested good.  Any Idea as to what it could be and how to fix it?

Try shifting into neutral to see if the shifter interlock safety switch is defective.  It keeps the car from starting in gear and they do fail.  If the starter is good, you can check by running a 12 volt wire to the small post on the starter then you know it is the safety interlock on the shifter.
