Nissan Repair: ticking noise from the fan, nissan 200 sx, blower motor

I have a 1996 Nissan 200 SX SE-R. When I turn on the ac fan, it makes a ticking noise. I have been experiencing this for over a month now, however ac is still working fine. I am not sure what the problem is. I did note that if I just turn the fan on without the ac, clicking noise starts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Either the bearings in the blower motor are going out or there is something in the case that needs to be cleaned out.  The blower motor is under the dash on the passenger side and it comes out with a few screws.  Take it out and spin it by hand and if there is that clicking noise replace it.  Also, if it is binding replace it.  Now, look up where it installs for debris.
