Nissan Repair: 2000 Maxima Locks and Windows, master switch, shawna

Question
With no prior problems, the locks and windows on my 2000 Maxima just quit.  I rolled the window down and couldn't get it back up.  After I got out of the car, I realized that the door locks weren't working.  None of the buttons on any of the doors are working.  Thought it might be a relay for the door locks, (under the hood) bought a new one, installed it, no help.  Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Shawna,

If the relay is good it is the master switch that has gone bad.  That is the master control on the drivers door.  I have a 2000 Maxima and have replaced it twice in the six years I have had the car.  Seems that water gets in the control when the door is opened and closed when raining and the water just runs right inside corroding the contacts. The switch is under $100 bucks and just takes a screwdriver to install.  Pull the plug in the handle cup and unscrew and lift the control panel out and unplug it.  Replacement is reverse of removal.
