Nissan Repair: Fuel Pump, fuel pressure, fuel pump

Question
My car started fine and while pulling out of the driveway it stopped running. It still turns over but will not start. Is this the fuel pump and if it is. Where is it and is it hard to replace. Thanks Steve

Answer
Steve,

You need to check for fuel pressure to be sure it is the fuel pump.  If the car sounds different when you try to start it and it has a timing belt it might be that too.  Also, it could be electrical.  You first need to find out if it is getting fuel pressure and if so then check for a broken timing belt and then if the belt is good check for spark.  Just the basics on isolation of the problem.
