Nissan Repair: 91 Nissan Maxima power window repair, nissan maxima, car manual

The rear driver's side window made a noise one day and then stopped working (I have it taped up now).  I have the door panel off and my husband looked at the complicated mess, read the car manual and gave up.  He gave up because it told him to take it to an authorized Nissan repairman because of the needed tools.  Problem is I'm trying to sell this car and don't really want to put a bunch of money into it.  Is it really that hard?  Special tools?

No, there are no special tools required for the job.  If he takes the regulator out while you hold the glass up he can pickup the regulator and motor from Autozone, Pepboys, Checker or the like.  The one thing I can say is all the metal inside the door is sharp so use tape on the access points to save scrapes and cuts.
