Nissan Repair: 95 nissan 240sx se ignition fuse problem, 30 amp fuse, nissan 240sx

Question
my car stalled and wouldnt crank again earlier and i managed to figure out that the ignition fuse under the hood had blown. the only things that had power were the headlights and dome lights. no warning lights, no radio power, no power to blower motor, no power to electric fan. lucky for me, the person who had the car before me had wired the fan straight to the battery and i didnt need the other 30 amp fuse in the RAD FAN position, so i used it so that i could get it home. well i cranked the car up, and it ran fine. i got in after letting it warm up and turned the radio on (for some reason, it was like i unhooked the battery, none of my presets were stored in the radio) and i began to take off. the car started to go and then stalled and would not crank back up. im assuming that theres a short somewhere but i cant figure out where to start looking. i have done nothing to the car other than put gas in it in the past couple of weeks although about a month ago i had to cut the ground for the power antenna due to the fact it had been broken and would not stop running even when the car was off. im thinking that may be it, but it had been broken a while but never ran for that long before. then after a week of that annoying noise all day everyday, i cut the wire. i would really appreciate your thoughts on this matter. thanks in advance

Answer
Kyle,

Go to Autozone and get the electrical system checked out as it seems that the alternator is putting out too much current and it is blowing the fuse.  If the electrical system checks out fine, to include the battery then I would be looking at any aftermarket items you have put on the car.  If there is an aftermarket amp it can backfeed and blow electrical things too.
