Question
I have two questions.

1)  My ABS light is on and I hear a noise coming from under the
hood near the ABS Actuator and control unit.  It continues to make
noise while the car is turned off.  It ran my battery down last night.
I hear a clicking sound when I press the brakes.

2) Also, I hear a humming noice while sittting in the rear seat while
the car is running and the radio is off.  Is sounds like it is in the left
side of the trunk.

Thank you,

Allen Fisher

Answer
Allen,

This is going to cost you some money.  ABS means brakes and that means liability on the part of the shop that corrects the problem.  To make this point there are only speciality computers that will turn the ABS light off.  So, now that I have terrified you I will attempt to answer the question.  The noise you hear is the ABS pump or actuator.  If it were me I would think the relay was going out.  If you check the fuses there is one that is called ABS and if it were me I would pull that fuse and then take the car into a shop to get the problem corrected.  You are looking at something like $600 bucks for a rebuilt ABS unit, if it is not the relay and it is the actuator.  And, there is labor and brake fluid and whatever other parts are required to make the system work.

The second question on the noise in the trunk is the fuel pump that is making it.
