Nissan Repair: 1999 sentra dashlights not working, radio light, dimmer switch

Hello i have a 1999 sentra gxe. The dashlights and radio light work fine during the day. But at night when i turn on the headlights, All the dashlights and radio light go black. Checked all the fuses and everyone is good.

It is the dimmer switch on the dash.  This is the one that brightens and dims the instrument and radio lights.  Move it back and forth and see if the lights come on.  If nothing replace the switch.  I have had a few where if you played with the switch the lights would work.
