Nissan Repair: where is transmission pressure control solenoid located, nissan pathfinder, obd2 code

i have a 1997 nissan pathfinder that is showing a obd2 code of po745 a bad transmission control pressure line solenoid. Ive looked at the chiltons book, but it doesnt show nothing. I replaced the filter and fluid, and cleared the code, but it still popped back up. can you help.

If you are not comfortable with taking the valve body out you should go to some place like Cottman and have them replace the solenoid.  Now, if you are comfortable with it just go to Nissan's website and give them the $20 bucks to download the .pdfs of the transmission and replace the part and reassemble the transmission.  It does not have to come out of the pathfinder so it is just a matter of taking the pan off and identifying the proper solenoid and changing it and reassembling it and filling it back up with fluid.  And, these are known to fail.  I am surprised yours failed so late as they usually fail under warranty.
