I'M PLANNING TO PURCHASE A HIGH MILAGE 2001 SE FOR ABOUT 11,995 BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF AT THIS MILAGE WHAT KIND OF EXPENSIVE REPAIRS DO I NEED TO WORRY ABOUT. FOR EXAMPLE, TIMING BELT VS CHAINS, HEAD GASKETS, CV JOINTS, RECALLS ETC. CAN YOU OFFER ANY HEADS UP OR CAUTION ME ON ANYTHING. I USED TO OWN A 1991 SE AND IT RAN WELL UP TO 150000 BEFORE I HAD MY ACCIDENT.

A high mile car like a Maxima would probably need CV boots replaced.  Second, there would probably be a need to change the coils when the check engine light comes on for multiple cylinder misfire.  Other than that the car is pretty bulletproof.
