Nissan Repair: 1999 nissan sentra brake rotor removal, nissan sentra, brake rotor removal

Question
How do you remove the rotor on a 1999 nissan sentra

Answer
Paul,

Remove the tire and wheel.  Take the two bolts out that hold the caliper on.  Take the two bolts off that hold the torque member on.  That is the part that the caliper bolts on to.  Now, remove the rotor.  No big deal.  But, remember that the caliper has to be supported so get in the house nad get a coat hanger and cut the end off so you can tie up the rotor to the coil spring so as not to damage the brake hose.  Never let the caliper hang by the hose as it will damage the hose and if that happens you would have a hose replacement.  Not cheap and a pain in the butt to change the hose and bleed the system.  So, be careful and not damage the hose.
