Nissan Repair: power windows, nissan maxima, power windows

maybe wrong place but here goes--just bought a 1987 nissan maxima for my son--it has power windows--I'm not to big on power windows because of the motors going out--anyhow How can I prolong the life of such motors?--I think I once saw someone spray a solution of some sort on the windows to ease the operation of the window? what do you think?  thanks

Clean and Armor All the slides where the window goes up and down. Take the door panels off and grease the tracks and slides inside the doors.  This makes the motors last much longer.  You will know when they are dry by how slow the windows go up and down.
