Nissan Repair: Nissan replacement engine, fly wheel, input shaft

Question
I have a 1995 nissan Pathfinder six cylinder with a manual 5 speed transmission.  The engine blew and so I search for a used engine and found one from a 95 nissan pathfinder and I bought it. While puttting a new clutch into the used engine I noticed that the crank and fly wheel are different,I found out it is from a 95 nissan pathfinder with an Automatic transmission. Is there anyway to make this engine work besides changing the crank?

Answer
David,

Use your flywheel on the new engine.  You will need to get a pilot bushing and install it in the crank of the new engine.  basically, there is a hole in the end of the crank where the end of the transmission input shaft goes into.  There has to be a bushing/bearing to keep the transmission input shaft centered.  It should cost about $10 bucks and since you have an engine that had an automatic there should be nothing in the hole so it is just a matter of installing the pilot shaft bushing/bearing and then installing your old flywheel and installing the engine in your Pathfinder.
