Nissan Repair: Clutch Cable, clutch cable, clutch control

Question
Replaced a clutch cable on a Infinit G20.  The cable doesn't work.  Adjusted the cable all the way at the control arm but looks like the cable is too long.  I only get a 2in working clutch pedal.  Is there any other adjustments for the clutch? There is l in play in the clutch control arm. What else could there be wrong with the clutch?  The clutch worked great until the cable broke.

Answer
Vern,

First, I have received the wrong part before so double check that.  Second, make sure that the cable stops are in the proper place so you get full extension and retraction of the cable.  The clutch fork should be connected properly for the system to work.  And, lastly the clutch itself could be bad and causing the problem.  I have listed them from first to last on what needs to be checked and done to make the system work so email me back if there is still a problem.
