Nissan Repair: 2001 maxima rear spoiler replacement, rear spoiler, pin clip

Question
Help... I am trying to remove to replace a damaged rear spoiler on a 2001 maxima.  I removed the nuts that were there, but the unit is also glued down.  it also has some type of "pin/clip/insert" that is on both ends and the center piller.  how do I remove this darn thing?

Answer
Larry,

Yes, it is fun to remove the spoiler.  you can punch out the clips or drill them where you have access.  I like to use a center punch to drive the center part of the rivit like clips out.  I do not know the proper term for the clip but they are like the plastic ones where the center pin applies pressure to the outer part and that is what holds them on.  There is no speciality tool that I am aware of that is used to remove them.
