Nissan Repair: power windows, nissan maxima, track assembly

I have just purchased a 1993 nissan maxima. The drivers window is off track. How do I remove the door panel and then fix the window

Take the screws out of the door handle and remove the trim screw at the handle pull. Take the light out of the bottom part of the door and remove the screw at the edge of the door.  Now, get a putty knife and pry the clips holding the panel on.  After that get the wires from under the panel and disconnect them.  Now, you get to pull the plastic off the door to access the motor and track.  Now, if the cable is defective or the pulley is broken it is pretty much a removal of the old unit and a replacement install.  If the cable is just off the track you can disassemble the track assembly and put the cable back on and lubricate the moving parts and then put the door back together.
