Nissan Repair: Knock Sensor 98 Nissian Maxima, nissian maxima, gauge wire

Do you know if the lead from the connector to the knock sensor is available. My lead has one of the wires croaded thru. Nissian only sells the sensor and lead together. 98 Maxima SE

No the lead is not sold individually.  But, if there is enough good wire on the ends you could splice the same gauge wire into the leads and be sure to solder the connections and heat shrink the splices.  Or, you have the option of getting a new knock sensor.  Unless you find a car in the wrecking yard that has really been hammered, where the engine is damaged, they will not allow you to get sensors off an engine as they like to sell the entire engine.
