Nissan Repair: Nissan Repair, valve cover gasket, nissan repair

Question
Hi,
Like others 95 Altima stalling is about once every 3 days usually during street local traffic (1,500rpm), or pausing at a stop light. Stalled once on a freeway at 65mph. Engine justs shuts down, all dash lights come on. No problem restarting immediately and continues on. Of course sitting at the mechanics for past 3 weeks, it only acted up for 5 mins. in shop.
Stalling seems to be at the 20 min. mark apprx., but not all always.

So far replaced:
-Distrib Housing Seal(found oil in distrib)
-Distib Cables
-Distrib Rotor
-Distrib Cap
-Distrib Seal
-Fuel Filter
-Spark Plug Seals(slight oil in wells)
-Valve Cover Gasket(oil seeping out sides)
-Valve Cover Washers(11)

Finally! a check engine light came on recently, pulled codes mention cam sensor(distrib) and knock sensor. Mechanic says to replace distrib now for sure and not bother with the knock sensor, even though when tested the cam sensor tests out fine. Based on other posts and finding oil in my distrib, it makes sense the code for cam sensor finally came on even though mechanic
tried to clean the parts thoroughly. Whether this code is an error or ghost code is an addition question.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Jussi

Answer
If you have done the distroburot and related parts I would be looking at the ignitor and coil as a last resort as the cam position sensor is that gets coated with oil inside the distributor.  Lastly, did you check the intake hose for cracks.  This is the hose between the intake and air meter?
