Nissan Repair: Wiper fluid not coming out, blown fuse, fuse panel

Question
Thank you so much for your answer!!!  I was thinking it might be the fuse, but when i pulled off the box and looked at the diagram, there is just one fuse for wipers...so that would be an all or nothing thing, correct?  Also, i'm car retarded, so when you say the pump is on the tank..where exactly do u mean?  Thanks!!!

Hello,
My girlfriend recently told me she needed more wiper fluid in her car, but as I started to pour some in, it filled up.  I started the car and pushed the wiper stick toward me to dispense some fluid, yet nothing came out.  She isn't sure if it usually makes a sound (like my civic does when dispensing fluid) or not.  The tubes looked fine that carry the fluid (as much as I could see..as it goes under the hood, to the left side of the car, then disappears underneath everything else) and I'm not sure what else to check.  Thanks!!!

Tim,

Is she pulling back on the stalk to get the wipers to squirt?  That is how it is supposed to work on a Nissan.  If she is and the wiper washer is not making a whirring noise you have a blown fuse of a bad pump.  The pump is on the tank and is pretty easy to change out if that is the problem.  But, I would first check the fuse panel for a blown fuse.  If you are getting the whirring noise and nothing comes out the lines are plugged or the tips where the fluid comes out is plugged.  You can get these cleaned out with a small needle.

Answer
Tim,

No problem and it is difficult to find the pump.  The same fuse that runs the wipers is also the one for the pump.  The pump is on the plastic tank that you put the wiper fluid in.  Basically, take the tank off and lift it up and you will find the pump.
