Nissan Repair: 2001 Sentra--TPS measurements, mass airflow sensors, nissan sentra

Question
The 2001 Nissan Sentra has no power. When I pinched the return line the power came back.  I replace the regulator.  That did not fix the problem so I replace the pump and screen.  Pressure is at 38 at idle and 47 when vacuum line is pulled.  The car runs great with a pressure of 65 lbs.  I pulled the TPS and that is when I found that the bottom connector showed open on pin 1 and 3.  Top connector measures OK and when installed you can here the injectors clicking when the throttle is pushed.

I am looking for the ohmic measurements of TPS of both connectors.

The is no repair manuals for this model so it has been a process of elimination.

Any info will be helpful

Answer
Bill,

You have me stumped!  I would think the readings off the tps sound normal and I would be looking at plugged injectors.  But, from what you state, you might have a bad clamp on the inlet hose from the air meter or a bad air meter that is not telling the computer how much air you are really getting in the engine.  When you artificially enrich the mixture you have power.  So, I would think I would be looking at the air meter or inlet hose allowing unmetered air to get in the engine.  This car is known for eating air meters.  They are also called mass airflow sensors.  So, check that before replacing any parts.
