Nissan Repair: 1990 Nissan Maxima starting issue, nissan maxima, leaky injector

Question
Hi! I have a 1990 Nissan Maxima. Once this car is warmed up and you stop somewhere and shut it off, when you go to start it again, you have to hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor in order for it to start. I have taken this to 2 different shops and they have put it on diagnostic machines, but nothing shows up. The latest has told me to take it to a dealer. The nearest is 80 miles away and said they can't do anything because it is 15 years old. The next nearest is an hour and a half away. The car has recently gotten 2 new fuel injectors, a new battery, plugs and wires, fuel filter and starter. Do you have any ideas of what we could look into before going so far away? Thanks a lot! Anything would be appreciated.

Answer
It sounds like you have a leaky injector or a defective pump or relay.  Check the fuel pressure and go from there.  If an injector is defective you will be able to watch the fuel pressure leak down after you turn the engine off.  If it is a bad pump or relay when you start the car you will have low fuel pressure.
