Nissan Repair: Nissan 1992 Maxima transmission .... solenoid?, shift linkage, blown fuse

Suddenly
Transmission acts as though "Stuck In nuetral" through all gear positions. Could there be a blown fuse? .............. to the transmission solenoid?

Or perhaps a vacuum line fell off.

Owner had (days earlier) been mugged and had all locks changed.


Car had been recently towed and recent Pep Boys Oil Change, but otherwise ran fine.

Answer
First check the shift linkage to be sure that it is not broken.  If that is not the case you probably have a blown torque converter and that means a rebuild on the transmission.  If the converter blows it usually throws trash through the transmission and that plugs up the works.  If it just happened and has not been driven you are just looking at a torque converter, a master rebuild kit and if it were me I would install a new pump.  This is the cheapest rebuild if nothing was damaged when the converter went out.
