I think you are right about it being the control module.  The dealer is stumped.  They didn't charge me for the second trip, but only fixed the symptom again, not the problem.  I started asking questions about the control module.  They don't know if they have ever had to change one before.  But the service writer asked a few questions and thinks he found a way to check it with the computer and see if it is the module.  I was a little aggrevated though.  After towing it to the dealer, only a mile and a half away this time.  They needed the car there to check it.  HA!  They cleared and reprogrammed with a small handheld computer.  He could have sent someone the mile and a half on Friday and started me in the 30 seconds it took to do it instead of making me go through what I did in the pouring rain  on Saturday morning.  That I am reeeeeallly not happy about!  Anyway, when they figure it out, I'll let you know.  They have figured out that I'm not going to let it go until it is fixed instead if just reprogrammed.  I will gladly pay for replacing the module if that is the problem.  I can find the module on car-part.com used.  Do you recommend this or to go new?  Thanks for all your help.

New or used is fine on the part.  Not too many go bad.  But, I have seen them go bad so that is what I think it is.

If I replace it myself, I will still have to get the dealer to reprogram it, right?  He just used a small handheld computer.  Is this a special computer that only the dealer has or can my usual mechanic do this?  I know it is under the dash, but where?  I may have to change it in the dealer's lot and get them to program it.
Thanks,

Answer
Under the dash on the drivers side.  Small box the size of about two cigarette packs put together.  You might have to do it in the parking lot.  I am stumped that they will not do a good will warranty on it since you have had it back so many times.  I would call Nissan North America and rase heck before I did it myself.
